My personal opinion - a Pastor should never have to apologize for their intensity in their preaching. They should be goading us to live more for Christ and how the Bible says to live. We are to live our life like Christ and one thing He never did was apologize. Jesus was intense - He never backed down, He was all over His disciples. Our Pastor should be zealous for the Gospel and it should show in his preaching. IF it bothered you so much maybe it is because you are not living to the intensity YOU need to be and it hurt your feelings. Maybe next time your feelings get hurt you should stop and look at yourself first and check yourself and YOUR level of commitment to Christ before you say it is the preacher or their preaching. Or is it that you want some namby-pamby preacher who does not challenge you?
