FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

When and where do GROWTH GROUPS meet?

GROWTH GROUPS meet weekly usually in homes and usually in the evening. There are 3-8 week sessions during Fall, Winter and Spring.

Registrations are open to all in September, January, and March. You do not have to attend Lake Center Bible Church to join a GROWTH GROUP. Since sessions are short, it is advised that new people join at the beginning of the next session. Click Register to find out when the next session begins, and what groups are open to new people.

What about child care?
Some groups welcome children, some do not. The ones that do will be noted. (see registration) Some groups hire an on site babysitter. Some groups rotate being with the children. Some include the children in the presentation. Contact the individual group leader for specific information.

What do you do at a GROWTH GROUP meeting?
In most cases the group goes through a study booklet together on the advertised topic. The group reads a bible passage and answers the questions in the booklet. Commonly these questions stimulate discussion. There is usually a prayer time (no one is pressured to pray out loud). Members are encouraged to share questions, problems, prayer requests, needs, blessings, and encouragement. No one is put on the spot.
