Welcome! I am glad that you are interested in “checking out” our small group ministry. We call them GROWTH GROUPS because the emphasis is on individual spiritual growth. Some things just can’t be accomplished in a Sunday morning worship service, and for us Growth Groups fills in this gap. It’s a place to get your questions answered, be cared for, be encouraged, and make friends. I hope you will read further and ultimately register for one of our GROWTH GROUPS!

WHAT ARE GROWTH GROUPS?

Growth groups are an opportunity to meet together in a relaxed and informal environment, with a focus on individual spiritual growth. Growth Groups are a chance to study the Bible in greater depth with personal application. Working toward these goals together in a small group results in great fellowship and new friends.

WHO ARE GROWTH GROUPS FOR?

• People who want to know more about the Christian faith.
• Anyone who wants to grow in their faith and know Jesus better.
  
• People who are new to Lake Center Bible Church.

WHY ARE THEY CALLED GROWTH GROUPS?

Colossians 2.6-7 says - “So then just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness”.

Just as we first knew Christ through His word of truth, the scriptures, so we are told to be 'rooted' in him i.e. don't move from him but grow in him.  The result? That we might "overflow with thankfulness" – quite a promising use of time!
