Change or die. The 21st century has been forced to adopt that slogan. Organizations of all kinds, including churches, are forced to face the fact that we must change in order to meet people where they are instead of where we think they should be. The only way to accomplish this is to believe that the phrase “change or die” must first be applied to the man or woman in the mirror.

Our mission at Lake Center Bible Church is to transform lives by being dynamically uncompromising. There are three groups of people whom you must be consumed with helping in the change process: yourselves, other believers, and those far from God. This ministry booklet has been produced to help place you in positions toward achieving the above goal.

We believe that in order to transform the lives of all three groups, we must not compromise the five core Christian life practices: pursuing God, loving God’s Word, loving prayer, loving God’s people, and loving the lost. We also believe that we must be dynamic in how we do it. Change is produced through first, constantly examining how we as individuals are at being balanced in the five core areas, and second, what the most effective way is in motivating and equipping people for the change process.

Being involved in various positions of ministry changes you because I am convinced that you will be fully alive when you are directly involved in the transformation of someone else’s life. Being involved changes other believers because God uses you to accomplish His work in them, and finally, it changes those far from God either directly, through outreach, or indirectly, because the world begins to see people who are consumed with making the world better by following the creator of the world.
